Eicher Trucks & Buses, part of VE Commercial Vehicles, today launched the all new Pro 2000 Series of light duty trucks. The new BSVI compliant Eicher Pro 2000 Series of light duty trucks will be currently sold with BSIV engines till April 2020, when the new emission standards kick in.
The new range boasts of an all new cabin for superior driver comfort, best in class rated payload, best in class mileage and many first in the segment features. The new Eicher Pro 2000 Series will also be exported to south east Asian markets under the UD brand.
The company unveiled 2 trucks in the new Pro 2000 Series, starting with Eicher Pro 2049 and Pro 2095XP. While Pro 2049 mini truck gets a higher 2.7 Ton payload, to be carried over a 10.4 feet long cargo body, Pro 2095XP offers a class leading 7.2 Ton payload with 5 deck length options from 14.1 ft to 21.5 ft. Powered by reliable E483 engine mated to 5 speed gearbox, Eicher Pro 2049 offers 95 HP of segment leading power and 300 Nm of max torque making it ideal for intra city last mile distribution. On the other hand, Eicher Pro 2095XP gets powered by E494 engine mated to a 6 speed gearbox, producing 115 HP of max power and 400 Nm of torque, making it ideal for all kinds of logistics. Some of the features include telematics and 7 inch touch screen infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB, aux connectivity along with steering mounted controls. The new Eicher truck range also gets mileage enhancing features like fuel coaching and multi drive mode enabled by MBooster technology. It is to be noted that Eicher already had Pro 1049 and Pro 1095XP trucks at similar GVW points as Pro 2049 and Pro 2095XP. Now with Pro 2000 Series, Eicher has tried to upgrade the Pro 1000 Series customers in their transportation business. It is also a step towards getting ready for BSVI norms ahead of timeline. As per industry sources, the new Eicher Pro 2049 is expected to be priced INR 25,000 higher than corresponding Pro 1049 and Pro 2095XP will be priced approximately INR 40,000 higher than Pro 1095XP.
